Others

The LCOE also offers the following types of testing as part of its portfolio of services:

Environmental testing

Products are often exposed to different environmental conditions that can affect their performance (heat, cold, humidity, temperature variation, salt spray, dust, etc.). For this reason, the LCOE offers environmental tests that provide manufacturers with guarantees of the proper functioning of components and products under any adverse climatic conditions.

Main environmental tests carried out:

  • Cold tests
  • Dry heat tests
  • Salt spray tests
  • Temperature variation tests
  • Tightness tests
  • Cyclic damp heat tests
  • Cyclic composite temperature and humidity tests
  • Cyclic salt spray tests
  • Continuous damp heat testing, accelerated testing mainly applicable to components
  • Dust and sand test
  • Hammer testing
  • Damp heat continuous testing
  • Corrosion in artificial atmospheres. Salt spray tests
  • Salt spray tests

Railway applications

In the railway sector there are a large number of general technical specifications that contain climatic, mechanical, dielectric, constructive and electromagnetic compatibility tests. The LCOE has the accreditations and resources to cover the testing of any device within this sector, from on-board equipment to on-track, both signalling and control and manoeuvring equipment.

Testing of anti-spill systems for generators

The generation systems covered by Royal Decree 244/2019 on self-consumption and ITC-BT-40 of the Low Voltage Regulation that are intended to be installed under the modality of consumption without surplus, must have a system of anti-discharge to the grid, in accordance with Annex I of ITC-BT-40 of the RBT modified in the second final provision of the aforementioned Royal Decree.

LCOE is accredited by ENAC to perform the required tests for these anti-spill systems.

IP and IK rating testing

Within this type of testing, the LCOE is a pioneer in all its parts. A complete installation is available to cover all IP and IK protection degree tests. Particularly relevant is the IPX9 rating test that determines the water tightness under pressure at a high temperature level (80°C), which makes it possible to complete all the water tightness tests of the safety standards.
